Import Control System (ICS)
ICS: Full European coverage
KSD provides the best software solution in the market for both Import and Export Control System (ICS-ECS). The implementation process is ongoing and will result in a full solution covering all 29 countries and all messages related to this. We are currently expanding our existing customs certifications in 16 countries to also include ICS and ECS as well as including the remaining countries in our portfolio.
Through one central interface with our customers KSD ICS will secure that the messages are communicated back and forth to the national customs authorities according to national specifications. The solution can run in a hosted/SaaS environment or in our clients IT infrastructure.
Our services include the important monitoring, maintenance and updates of the future changes to the legislation and rules expected for the coming years. We also have support options that meets the needs of our customers including 24/7/365.
ENS, DIV, AMD, ARN, EXS – Are you confused? We know about the complexities in living up to EU regulations as well as national requirements. Communicating with customs is our core business and has been for almost 20 years. Our solution can run as a fully automated process or as a manual solution - and every possibility in between. The main objectives are to deliver according to authority demands AND to do it efficiently and smart for our customers.
All carriers (ships, planes and trucks) of goods entering the EU, Switzerland and Norway will by the end of 2010 be obliged to pre-alert all shipments in advance through the ICS regulations. The pre-alert varies depending on mode of transportation, goods type and exporting country. Deep Sea Containers has to be pre-alerted electronically to the first port of entry within the Security Zone 24 hours – the 24 hour rule - before loading in the port of discharge. Feeder-/Short Sea shipping, airlines and trucks have other deadlines for the pre-arrival notification – PAN - and sending the ENS message. This is a major change for carriers and the complexity increases as each carrier has to deal with the authorities in many different countries where they have the first entry point. KSD already have agreements with customers that will result in one solution covering all 29 countries. The KSD ICS solution will naturally also benefit companies who have a need for Advance Cargo Declaration in one or a few countries.
